Steamed Carrots with Zucchini: The frequent consumption of carrots has also been linked to a 20% reduction in the chances of breast cancer after menopause and a 50% reduction in the incidence of bladder, cervical, prostate, colorectal, laryngeal, and oesophageal cancers.
You should store carrots away from apples, pears, potatoes, and other fruits and vegetables that produce ethylene gas, as exposure to this gas makes them bitter.

Steamed Carrots with Zucchini and Sage Recipe
Ingredients:
8 medium carrots
1 courgette
A few leaves of sage
1 small onion
1 tablespoon of light butter
125ml double cream
Preparation:
- Remove the green tops from the carrots and discard them. Wash the carrots. Wash the courgette and cut it into slices or cubes. Steam the carrots and courgette.
- Wash the sage, dry it and chop it finely.
- Peel the onion and chop it finely. Heat the butter and sauté the onion. Add the sage and cream.
- Pour this dressing over the steamed warm vegetables and serve with potatoes.
