Larnaca Film Festival This August

Larnaca film festival this August on the 22-27 of August will bringing cinema enthusiasts a curate selection of independent films, documentaries, and shorts. Organized by the Larnaca Municipality in collaboration with local cultural groups, the six-day event will screen over 50 films at outdoor and indoor venues across the city, including the historic Pierides Museum courtyard.

The festival aims to promote emerging filmmakers while celebrating cinematic diversity, with special focus on Mediterranean productions. Alongside screenings, attendees can enjoy Q&A sessions with directors, workshops, and networking events. Evening open-air movie nights by the sea will offer free public viewings.

“This festival establishes Larnaca as a new cultural destination,” said Mayor Andreas Vyras. “We’re blending international cinema with our city’s unique charm.”
