”Fried” Broccoli is one of the best weapons against diseases, it which contains the strongest combination of nutrients of any other vegetable. Fresh broccoli is a factory of antioxidant vitamin C, which plays an important role in the immune response.

The broccoli contains sulforaphanes – powerful anti-cancer chemicals that combat tumour growth.

It is full of dietary fibre, which is vital for a healthy digestive system, while it also has detoxifying properties that help in cleansing the liver.

Ingredients (Serves 2):

2 tablespoons sesame oil

1 piece (5 cm) fresh grated ginger

1 head of broccoli washed and cut

1 clove of crushed garlic

Method:

Heat the oil on a low heat and add the ginger and broccoli. Fry for 3 minutes, stirring continuously, before adding the garlic. Continue cooking for another 2 minutes. Serve immediately as a side dish.

Consume two to three servings of broccoli a week as it helps in the prevention of cancer, heart disease, and colds.
