Pyrgos Limassol: Paths in the beautiful nature of the village!

Pyrgos Liminos possesses incredible natural beauty. Lush greenery stretches from the hills down to the sea. Many visitors admire these beautiful landscapes. The village could create organized nature paths. People could use these paths for walking or cycling. Signs could offer information about the local flora and fauna. The Community Council already oversees wonderful projects. This work is fantastic.

A 4000-year-old heritage.

At the outdoor Museum of Pyrgos Aroma Park, in the birthplace of fragrance, you will see a faithful replica where the ancient residents of the village crafted perfumes of exceptional quality and exported them to the entire known world 4000 years ago! The aim is to educate foreign tourists as well as Cypriots about the rich heritage we have historically on our island and how advanced the Kingdom of Amathus and the village of Pyrgos Limassol were for their time. Of course, there is also plenty of play for our little friends!

Pyrgos is acquiring its own botanical park.

When many cultures were still living in caves, in Pyrgos Limassol they were extracting perfumes, herbs, wine, copper, and olive oil throughout the greater Mediterranean region with incredible expertise! The village of Pyrgos was the pride of the entire known world 4000 years ago! With the love and support of many villagers, the history of the village is becoming known again throughout Cyprus and why not all over the world!

At the botanical park of Pyrgos Limassol, you can learn more information about the endemic plants of Cyprus! There are around 150 species of endemic plants in island. Most of the endemic plants are found in its two mountain ranges. Thus, in the Troodos mountain range, there are 94 endemic plants of Cyprus, while in the Pentadaktylos mountain range, there are 56. Several of the plants of Cyprus, mainly endemic ones, are considered rare as they exist in few and small populations.

With respect to nature & tradition

In the herbarium, every space holds a story: the old barrels that once held local wine, the jugs that carry the fragrance of the seasons, the blooming gardens that continue to remind us of the power of the earth. Here, we do not just make products. We create experiences that connect people with nature, tradition with innovation. Because true sustainability starts from our love for the place and the land that nourishes us.

Soon, we will also have several books for both young and old in Greek, English, and Russian, where visitors can borrow and read books of interest to them for free in the space of the museum!
