A Departure after Three and a Half Dense Decades<\/h1>

Averof Neofytou: After thirty-five very intense years in politics, I could focus on past achievements, difficult decisions, successes, and mistakes. I will not do that. Not because these things lack importance, but because our homeland does not have the luxury of looking backward today.<\/p>

Cyprus Faces another Critical Juncture<\/h1>

The Cyprus problem remains unresolved. Geopolitical instability in the region worsens daily. Our society, especially young people, sends us a message we cannot ignore. This message carries both anguish and dignity.<\/p>

The Young Generation’s Struggle<\/h1>

Young people study, work, and try hard, but they cannot stand on their own feet. They want to build a future, remain in their homeland, and start a family. Yet the high cost of living, the insecurity, the inability to live in their own home, and the lack of opportunity hold them back.<\/p>

This “cry” is not a statistic. It is a reality. And it carries everyone’s responsibility.<\/p>

Results Matter More Than Intentions<\/h1>

If I have learned anything on this journey, politics does not judge by intentions but by results. And results demand a leap forward. A leap beyond toxicity. A leap beyond easy rhetoric. A leap beyond populism, which promises everything but ultimately cancels everything.<\/p>

We Need a New Kind of Politics<\/h1>

We need a politics that dares to speak hard truths. That plans with realism. That confronts when necessary, not for show but for solutions. This applies to the Cyprus problem, the economy, and social cohesion.<\/p>

A Call for Responsibility, Not More Tension<\/h1>

This country does not need more tension. It needs a new vision and more responsibility. This responsibility belongs to all of us, regardless of ideology, party, or background.<\/p>

Leaving Parliament, Not Public Life<\/h1>

I leave the parliamentary benches, but I do not leave public life. I could not do so. I will remain present. With my voice, with my experience, with my sincere desire to contribute wherever I can. Not to seek roles, but to serve a single need: moving this country forward, with seriousness, with confidence, with vision.<\/p>
